Information about Your Visit

As part of your eye exam, the doctor will discuss any vision problems that you have been experiencing. The Doctor will ask about your health, activities, medications and family history of eye problems and medications. At the end of your exam, the Doctor will recommend solutions and answer all of your questions. If you wear glasses, sunglasses and/or contact lenses, please bring all of them to your exam.

Adult Eye Exams age 18-40

Most adults between the ages of 18-40 enjoy healthy eyes and good vision. The most common vision problems in young adults are as a result of eye strain and eye injuries. Often, minimal changes in our vision can cause eye strain. Even slight changes to our vision can go un-noticed without an eye exam. Repeated use of computers and mobile phones with less than optimal vision can cause discomfort. An eye exam and consultation with an optometrist every two years is crucial to ensure you are seeing well, that your eyes are healthy and that you have the opportunity to discuss strategies for ensuring that you see well for your lifetime.

Adult Eye Exams age 40 plus

As you age, so do your eyes. If you are over the age of 40, you may have an increased risk of age-related eye conditions, many of which can only be detected in an eye exam.
